Roccochi Ridge

Our second stop at the Parade of Homes was #21 - Roccochi Ridge in Ivins. Another low slung home with beautiful picture windows to take in the brilliant backdrop of red cliffs, Snow Canyon and black lava. This home featured 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms and was a total of 6,970 square feet of gorgeousness with a hefty $3.2 million dollar price tag.

This time Becca was a little more brave with the camera and took a lot more pictures. We're sorry to any innocent bystanders who may have inadvertently ended up in our photos--with so many people at the shows, it was sometimes hard to avoid them in our shots.

Terra Spiritus

The first house we went to at the St George Parade of Homes was #20 - Terra Spiritus in Kayenta. It was a 3232 square foot home with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms priced at $775,000.

The home featured large view windows in nearly every single room to take advantage of the breathtaking red rock views.

The home featured stained terra-cotta concrete floors laid out in a giant diamond pattern.

The homes are nestled into the ground and surrounded by native desert landscape.
I hope you enjoyed our first stop with us! There's much more to come!

Salt Lake Places Eighth For Most Improved Commute

According to the latest report in Forbes magazine, Salt Lake City ranked as the number 8 most improved metropolitan city with an improved commute. However, it looks like the statistics were only pulled up until 2007 which means I don't think it was taking into account the latest improvements like FrontRunner and Legacy Highway that has Davis county residents singing hallelujah every morning! If it had, I think we would have ranked even higher on the list. Here are a few of the specific statistics:

8. Salt Lake City, Utah

Improvement in road construction versus traffic since 2000: -1.6% (20th best)

Commuters using public transit in 2000: 2.4% of metro residents

Commuters using public transit in 2007: 3.94% (6th best increase)

Traffic delays, per commuter, per year, due to congestion: 27 hours
